excellent helper named Raffel
what a professional person was Raffal who helped me about a return problem with a sweater that was returned because of size. It was a M but a little too tight to fit over my back brace.
Things worked out quite well as she was very patient with either my immobile at times situation or slowness Wonderful person who seemed to do her job with a personal touch and caring attitude. She needs a STAR!

I couldn't get any answers for reopening my Eddie Bauer credit card.
Terrible service.
No one could see if I could reactivate my card or tell me where to go! I'm thinking twice about reopening my account if it's this much of a hassle!

Eddie Bauer has provided me with my favorite outdoor wear for many years, my favorite pants are First Accent, capris and longmy last few orders of capris, the waist dimensions have changed, the waist is larger than the size of the butt. I wear size 4, the waist has enlarged so much that I never have to button to put on or off, Ive ordered others hoping sizing would correct but they havent.
I just called customer service to ask if they could send me a few pair with the correct waist sizeno they cant. A size 4 shouldnt have a 38 waist! I guess Ill have to find another brand of outdoor wear.
Ill miss you Eddie Bauer but Im sure Ill find another company. Bye bye

Dear Eddie Bauer Customer Care,
I am writing to share my recent disappointing experience at your Alderwood store today, August 25.
At 1:50 PM, I purchased a Mountain Trek Tee in size small - for $55. Upon returning home, my partner suggested that I exchange it for a medium as the arms were too short on me.
Later that day, while running errands, I returned to the store at 5:00 PM with my receipt to make the exchange.
To my surprise, the store staff informed me that I could not exchange the shirt without the original tag. I was not aware of this requirement, as nothing on the return policy on the register receipt indicates that a tag is necessary in addition to the receipt. As a result, I had to drive back home to retrieve the tag, return to the store, and finally complete the exchange at 5:53 PM.
This unnecessary extra trip cost me about an hour of my time and additional travel expense. More importantly, it left me feeling that Eddie Bauer does not trust its customers.
By contrast, competitors such as REI and Nordstrom handle returns more smoothly and with greater trust, which makes them more deserving of my business.
I hope Eddie Bauer will review this policy and empower store staff to make customer-friendly decisions in the future. As a gesture of goodwill,

I had been a loyalty member and over ten year regular customer with Eddie Bauer until now, as I will never give them another penny or recommend them to anyone.
I ordered $450 worth of stuff for Christmas gifts from Eddie Bauer on November 27. They claim 5-7 business days for shipping, but by Monday December 9th it still hadnt arrived so I called to ask where my order was, and was told it was with a shipping company and they wouldnt tell me who..
I was told to call back Friday if my order still hadnt shown up. I called back and the person I spoke to said he didnt understand why they said that as my order JUST shipped yesterday and today and to expect it in 5-7 business days. They lied about the items still being in their possession which prevented me from cancelling and getting a refund, which I needed to afford buying replacement gifts as I dont have an extra $450 laying around and this wouldnt show up in time for my families Christmas.
I reached out to their head office on Monday and have not received a response and again today but dont expect them to respond as they clearly have no loyalty to their customers.
With their prices, youd expect quality in both their product and customer service however that is not the case. I am going to be further inconvenienced returning this order to a store when / if it comes in as I dont trust shipping it back and them lying about receiving it back as they clearly dont want to refund my money.

Bad Customer Service
EB, if you're reading this I'm sorry but I tried to support your company but I've dealt with an alarming amount of bad service from your sales floor team. To give you some background about myself, I've worked in sales, Marshall Fields, Gap, and Starbucks to name a few.
I recognize that we have bad days, we're human, but I never took it out on customers.
I was at the Alderwood Mall location in Lynnwood looking for a sweatshirt. A young blonde haired female was assisting me and she was annoyed the whole time. I am a pleasant customer and even understand that I don't have to receive mutual pleasantries from the sales clerk but this young lady was rude and needs to go. The other two sales reps were fantastic.
Bubbly, friendly, greetings, pleasant goodbyes.
Last time I shop at Eddie Bauer. I just can't anymore.

Eddie Bauer Customer Service committed to refund my order as it had not arrived on time. I drove 320KM return trip to the only EB that had the merchandise in stock to purchase the merchandise in time for my vacation, this took me 3 hours.
On return from vacation, no refund as promised and the package was sitting on my porch.
So now I can keep the item or drive to another Eddie Bauer location (min. 65KM 1.5 hours of my time) to return them.
'Customer Service' says that I must wait until 7 business days to issue a refund. After FINALLY confirming a refund, I foolishly ordered them again. The exact same thing happens.. I know it is missing given the conflicting info from Eddie and the courier and I am forced once again to deal with their ineffective 'Customer Service'.
They have no ability to trace, no ability to escalate, no ability to send me a copy of our Chat Manuscripts, no ability (or interest) to fix anything... they simply provide the exact same BS scripted responses buying time until they are forced to refund your money...
it was truly deja vu. I love when they ask me, 'is there anything else I can do for you today' when they have done NOTHING and I have made that clear...

The tread on one of the two wheels on my Eddie Bauer rolling bag came off. The bag is now a little lopsided when pulled, and the wheel without a tread is a bit loud.
I ordered a wheel kit to repair it myself but am unable to loosen and remove the axle. The bag is otherwise in great shape.
